Of the 33 who say what they reply, 25 name a plain thank you, and 3 of those say they thank him out of manners whether or not they believe it. The complaints that come up most are a sexual compliment (19 women, 16 of them in one thread) and a compliment about her looks from a man she doesn’t know well (12). Bigger or more physical wording won’t prove your interest; early on, it can give her a harder message to answer.
How to tell a girl she’s cute
The simplest way to tell a girl she’s cute is to say “you’re cute” and add the thing that made you think it. The added part is what makes it hers: anyone can be told she’s cute, but only she laughed at your joke about the rain or picked the noodle place with no sign.
A few lines that work in person or over text:
