A long distance relationship with a Thai woman goes better with three agreements: a call time that suits both your clocks, visits that include her ordinary days, and a shared idea of where it is heading, an end to the distance or living apart by choice. A next step you can both name makes the waiting part of a plan.

We read the accounts of 44 Thai women on Pantip, the big Thai web forum, who describe a long distance relationship with a partner in another country (2013 to 2025). What they mention most is how often they meet or who flies (14 of the 44), that they talk every day or most days (11) and trust (10); these are things they bring up, not a list of what they say worked. Only 9 of the 44 name a step that ends the distance, such as a wedding, a visa or a move, and 6 say there is no date or plan. The other 29 don’t say either way, which is not the same as having no plan (our count, October 2026).
The people who answer couples like this are blunter. In one Thai thread about who should fly first, the rule given most often (by 9 of the 39 who gave one) was that a man who wants to come finds a way; on an English forum, 16 of the 242 people who answered said a couple needs an end date or a plan. Here is what that means for you, from the first call of the week to the next flight to Thailand.
Long distance relationship advice: what 44 Thai women mention most
The plainest long distance relationship advice in these women’s accounts is about meeting, talking and trust. Fourteen say how often they meet or who flies, eleven say they talk every day or most days, and ten say trust is what holds it. Only trust was put as the thing that keeps it going; the other two are what they do, not proof that doing more of it helps. A named step that ends the distance (9) came close behind.
