Every report is read by a person. Here’s what else the app does, and what no app can.

No security theatre on this page. Just what the app does, what it can’t, what happens when you report someone, and where to go if something has already gone wrong.

If something is happening right now

Do these three things, in this order.
01Stop replying, then blockBlocking is instant and invisible: they are not told. You don’t owe an explanation, and leaving mid-conversation costs you nothing.
02Screenshot before you reportKeep the chat, the profile, and any payment details. You may need copies for your bank or the police.
03Report from the profile or chatOne tap, and a person reads it (see the steps below). Reporting also protects the next person they contact.

If money has already moved: contact your bank or the transfer service first. Some transfers can be recalled within hours. Then report to the police in your own country and in theirs, and to us. Local reporting channels are listed under Where to get help.

What the profile checks mean

People who have completed a live camera check have a Crushmark™ on their profile. It tells you what someone did, not who they are.

01Live camera checkA short clip, smiling or turning their head, compared with their profile photos. People who complete it have a Crushmark on their profile.
02Photos taken in the appPhotos and clips captured with the in-app camera carry the date they were taken. Uploaded ones don’t.
03Human reviewAutomated checks can flag an account. A person decides what happens next.

Patterns to know

No check can tell you what someone intends, so these are the three shapes that matter most.

Money enters the chatAny request for money, crypto, gift cards, or “help with a fee”, at any stage, in any direction. Treat it as the signal it is.Sounds like: “I’d fly to you, but my visa deposit is short.”
Rushing off-platformPressure to move to another app in the first days. The tools on this page only work here.Sounds like: “This app is annoying, add me on another one.”
Too perfect, too fastDeclarations of love before a single video call. Real interest asks questions; scripts declare.Sounds like: “I’ve never felt this way. Let’s marry.”

Each pattern gets a full article with real cases in the blog’s online-safety cluster.

What we do, and what we don’t

An honest safety page has to include its own limits. Here are ours, stated plainly, so you know how much weight to put on any check.

We do
  • Offer a live camera check, and put a Crushmark on the profile of everyone who completes it.
  • Read every report with a human being.
  • Remove accounts we confirm are running a scam.
  • Publish what we learn about the patterns, free to read on the blog.
We don’t
  • Run criminal background checks. No service can do that reliably across these countries.
  • Guarantee that anyone is who they say they are. No app can.
  • Claim that a completed check makes someone honest. It tells you what they did, not what they intend.

What happens when you report someone

  1. First

You reportOne tap from the profile or chat. Blocking happens immediately, whatever we decide later.
  2. Next

A person reviews itSomeone reads what you sent and looks at the account you reported.
  3. Decision

Warned, suspended, or removedWhat happens depends on what we find. Accounts we confirm are running a scam are removed.
  4. If we get it wrong

Tell usMistakes happen. If you think we got one wrong, write to us and a person will look again.

Where to get help

Blocking someone here doesn’t help if money or coercion is involved; those need local authorities. We list only channels we have confirmed ourselves.

ThailandCyber-crime reporting · consumer-fraud line · women’s legal-aid NGO[contact details to be added once we have confirmed them]
PhilippinesAnti-cybercrime unit · bank fraud recall · legal-aid NGO[contact details to be added once we have confirmed them]
Your own countryReport romance fraud at home too. Many transfers are only recallable through your own bank and police.

We are not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, call local emergency services first.

Questions we actually get

Does a completed live camera check mean someone is trustworthy?

No. The Crushmark means they completed a live camera check in the app. Intentions are a separate question. That’s what the patterns above are for.

Will he know that I blocked or reported him?

No. Blocking is silent and immediate, and we don’t tell him who reported. He simply stops being able to reach you.

I already sent money. Is it too late?

Not always. Some bank and remittance transfers can be recalled within hours. Contact them before anyone else, then report locally and to us.
